original compass card ("rose") was badly eroded from decades
in a very salty atmosphere. I used a microscope and CAD techniques
to make a new one that looks absolutely authentic. Please note that
the "N" on a Greek compass rose stands for "Nótos"
(i.e. South), so the North pointer is the feathered arrowhead opposite
to the "N"!
